Tathagata Choudhuri is a self taught painter, based in Kolkata. He loves to express the expression of human portraits in different mediums. Abstract realism is his favourite among the different forms of painting.

In his early life, while attending Baranagar Ramakrishna Mission Ashram School, he dabbled in painting, but that practice did not last long.

After completion of Graduation in Zoology from Calcutta University, he completed MBA in marketing and joined a pharmaceutical company.

He then obtained a degree in library science and is currently working as a librarian in two public libraries of West Bengal.

His passion though, is painting and he teaches drawing kids while continuing his explorations with paint.
