Summary of activities of Convergence
Since the last issue of Conversations (July 2023), Convergence has been carrying forward the mission that Professor Rita Chattopadhyay (my mother), its Founder-Director had envisioned. Here is a summary of activities of Convergence during the last couple of years.
Academic Work:
Online Courses: Like before, Convergence has been conducting online language courses twice a year – January to June and then again from August to December. This year the January to June session just got completed and the next session is scheduled to begin from August 2025. They are scheduled to continue for the next five months till December 2025. Successful participants of the past sessions have been awarded completion certificates.
Online Lecture Series: Convergence continued with the online lecture series with the following lectures:

Library: Convergence has opened its library with a collection of about five thousand books for public. For the moment, it is allowing reference work to be done by scholars in the premises of our library itself. It remains open for six hours once a week and has quite a few students and scholars visiting it regularly from near and far on those days.
3rd issue of Conversations
We are very excited to carry on our “Conversations” with the 3rd issue being released as an online journal on Ma’s birthday. It has clickable links of all its articles, poems, stories and paintings which enables easy navigation across genres and pieces.
